FAITH
•Author Unknown, submitted by Abigail

Faith is ceasing to worry, leaving the future to the God who controls the future.

Faith is accepting the truth that in spite of the wrecked I've caused and grieve over, God, who has wiped the slate clean, delights in me.

Faith is giving up the image of perfection I struggle for -- accepting grace.

Faith is having confidence that God will take the bad choices others have made that affect me and use them for my ultimate good.

Faith is accepting that God's work has made me clean, clean, clean! When my basic concept of myself is soiled, dirty, defiled.

Faith is letting go of that which God is asking me for.

Faith is waiting patiently for God to make me more Christ-like through people and circumstance when I want Him to give me a quick fix -- preferably painless.

Faith is remembering that I carry God's awesome presence into each daily routine encounter when I feel like a dull leaden weight.

Faith is keeping on keeping on when I am dog-tired, discouraged, disillusioned, deserted, dusty dry -- cast on His strength alone.

Faith is accepting the fact that God knows better than I do what is ultimately good for me.

Faith is living with the unexplained.

Faith is walking before God, not before my friends.

Faith is appreciating that my capacity to feel, communicate, think, achieve, choose, create, and commune with God comes from His making me like Himself.

Faith is trusting that God is doing His work in me when I feel inwardly cold, hollow, lifeless, deserted, and I long for reassuring feelings.

Faith is speaking the truth in love even at the cost of position or friendship.

Faith is the dependence of a newborn.

Faith is the handle by which I take God's promises and apply them to my particular problems.

Faith is doing the right thing regardless of the consequences knowing God will turn the ultimate effect to good.

Faith is refusing the thinking that God loves and cherishes the popular, attractive, talented Christian more than He loves and cherishes plain me.

Faith is expecting God to accomplish miracles through insignificant me with my five loaves and two fishes.

Faith is reliance on the certainty that God has a pattern for my life when everything seems meaningless.

Faith is confidence that God is acting for my highest good when He answers "No" to my prayers.

Faith is thanking God when I am left with shattered plans, that He has better plans.

Faith is remembering that I am God's priceless treasure when I feel utterly worthless.

QUOTE
•by Richard Cecil, submitted by Abigail

Faith makes all evil good to us, and all good better;
unbelief makes all good evil, and all evil worse.
Faith laughs at the shaking of the spear;
unbelief trembles at the shaking of a leaf.
Unbelief starves the soul;
faith finds food in famine, and a table in the wilderness.
In the greatest danger, faith says, "I have a great God."
When outward strength is broken,
faith rests on the promises.
In the midst of sorrow,
faith draws the sting out of every trouble,
and takes out the bitterness from every affliction.

MY PRINCESS
•by Sheri Rose Shepherd
submitted by Christine

My Princess…
You are My precious daughter.

You are a daughter of the King, and not just any King.
You are My daughter,
and I am the God of all heaven and earth.
I’m delighted with you!
You are the apple of My eye. You’re Daddy’s girl.
Your earthly father may love and adore you,
but his love is not perfect…
Because I am Love.
I formed your body. I fashioned your mind and soul,
I know your personality,
and I understand your needs and desires.
I see your heartaches and disappointments,
and I love you passionately and patiently.
My child, I bought you with a price so that
we could have a relationship together for all eternity.
Soon we will see each other
face-to-face--Father and daughter--
and you will experience the wonderful place
I have prepared for you in paradise.
Until then, fix your eyes on heaven,
and walk closely with Me.
You will know that--although I am God--
My arms are not too big to hold you,
My beloved daughter.
